●What is Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate ?
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP), chemical name L-ascorbic acid-2-phosphate trisodium salt (molecular formula C₆H₆Na₃O₉P, CAS No. 66170-10-3), is a stable derivative of vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Traditional vitamin C is limited in cosmetic applications due to its poor water solubility and easy oxidation and discoloration.
